Starry Night

This is small 6x8 inches abstract painting with something like a window frame and blurry stars outside. Everything looks monochrome in a weak light of stars and other light probably from setting sun or lights of a city. I have a very original name for the painting - Starry Night.

It's a good example how when you don't really care about the outcome and just enjoy the process you might get interesting and satisfying result.
I made this piece on a heavy weight (300 lb) watercolor paper and mounted on stretched canvas. It is coated with UV protective varnish, sides are painted black and it's ready to hang.

Swirl, abstract acrylic painting.

This painting is improvisation on science fiction theme. I thought about an alien planet with whirlpool in a strange forest. I painted it with acrylic and used a pallet knife to create those alien "trees". Painted on canvas, glued to masonite board, and covered with protective UV varnish.
